Delete Securely, Responsibly, and Onsite
Our services allow clients to avoid the physical destruction and degaussing of their digital media. We help businesses preserve their electronic assets, in turn reducing waste and helping to preserve the environment.
Green Delete also lowers cost and enhances the productivity of our clients by offering a smarter alternative to overwriting. Currently, the Department of Defense requires three levels of overwriting in order to consider a hard drive to be sanitized. However, it warns that there can be problems with "ineffectiveness of the overwrite procedures, equipment failure (e.g., misalignment of read/write heads), or inability to overwrite bad sectors or tracks of information in inter-record gaps." (DoD Standard 5220.22-M)
The overwriting process itself is time consuming; it can take many hours or even days to complete depending on the size of the hard drive. This creates a substantial loss in productivity in a large organization that may have hundreds of data storage devices to decommission and redeploy. Expense is also a concern, as the software requires a separate licensing fee for each hard drive to be overwritten.
Green Delete is simply a better solution.
Our Services
Green Delete's CLEAN service is focused solely on the onsite eradication of data, and is tailored for our clients that have a plan in place to reuse or distribute the recovered assets on their own. All of our services offer the following CLEAN components:
- Audit Hardware - Complete inventory of assets headed for disposition.
- Eradicate Data - Highest level of non-destructive erasure of data.
- Provide Report - Full asset disposition report delivered securely in the cloud.
- Certified Eradication - Electronic certificate for each asset serial number.
This service employs the same onsite CLEAN components, PLUS a managed remarketing service.
Upon completion of the certified eradication, this service automatically notifies a list of pre-certified buyers via Green Delete's cloud infrastructure. This I-Placement component allows the client to save time aggregating and listing reusable assets, retaining the maximum recovery value by eliminating unneeded transportation costs.
Our CLEAN GREEN service also employs the same onsite CLEAN processes, PLUS the utilization of local, pre-certified e-waste recycling partners upon completion.
This service is primarily for physically damaged storage media that cannot be successfully eradicated and must be destroyed. Other IT assets not associated with Green Delete's eradication services can be aggregated along with the failed media. This E-placement service provides the client a certified and expedient option for recovering maximum value and at the same time responsibly recycling retired IT assets.
